JOHN ROTHERHAM
Our Artist in Residence
Since August 2021, John has been our resident artist at The Nursery.
He has created a beautiful studio space for his practice, located upstairs in our Potting Shed, which is full of natural light and overlooks The Frameyard.
His Work…
Portraiture has always been at the heart of his work. He exhibited for several years with galleries in London, and in shows in New York, Paris & Singapore. In recent years, he has focused particularly on portrait commissions and the occasional still life.
His Background…
John has been a professional artist since 2007, having been trained in the traditional 'atelier' method of drawing and painting. He use these traditional techniques to create bespoke commissioned pieces for clients in the UK and worldwide.
His Studio…
His space in our Potting Shed is where he creates all of his work and also teaches. There is always a selection of work available to purchase, which can be viewed by private appointment. If you would like to visit the studio, enquire about a commission or, buy a painting, please get in touch with John.
