Join us for a fabulous festive wine tasting, featuring wines chosen to complement your Christmas celebrations. From aperitif to Christmas pud, we’ll explore wines that pair beautifully with your festive fare.
Led by Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Educator Maureen Little, we will taste six carefully curated wines – sparkling, white, rosé and red, and possibly a couple of more unusual ones – that will pair with Christmas food.
Maureen will show you how to taste the wines, paying attention to the aroma, the swirl, the flavours, the body, the feel in the mouth, and the finish.
A delicious cheese and charcuterie accompaniment from The Reading Room Café is included in the price.
And you could win a bottle of sparkling wine!
No previous experience is necessary – just come along and enjoy!
Why not make a day of it? Come along to our ‘Mistletoe’ Christmas Market beforehand, browse the stalls and get some Christmas shopping done, then join us for an afternoon of wine, cheese and festive cheer.
About the Host
As well as a gardening author, Maureen is also a keen oenophile. So much so that when she was working for a local wine company, she achieved Level 3 in Wines at the WSET in London. She went on to become a qualified Educator and taught Levels 1 and 2 of the WSET Wine Courses.
