Ever wanted to make your own cushions? Maybe you have some extra fabric from some curtains and want some cushions to match? Perhaps you want to add some statement cushions onto a cuddle chair, a sofa or a bed.
After some successful, sold out workshops on ‘How to use your sewing machine’ Lynne joins us again for another creative, hands-on day of learning – This time it’s how to make your own scatter cushions.
Who is this for?
Beginners and those who are ready for the next step in their sewing journey.
For those who already have a sewing machine, who know the very basics, but want to further learn how to use it and start creating pieces with it.
What will you create?
From fabric to finish, you’ll go from choosing a design to then sewing, stuffing and styling your very own cushion/s.
During the full-day workshop, you’ll learn how to make both an envelope cushion as well as a zipped, piped cushion - leaving with two beautifully finished pieces.
What will you learn?
Fabric Cutting: Master measuring, marking, and cutting fabric with confidence to achieve perfectly fitted cushions.

About the host…
Learning to make your own soft furnishings shouldn’t feel daunting. Lynne’s aim is to make sewing approachable, enjoyable, and confidence-building.
She has spent many years working hands-on with fabrics, creating made-to-measure curtains, blinds, cushions of all sizes, upholstery, and complete room makeovers for a wide range of clients — from everyday homes to château owners in France. That experience means she understands the practical side of sewing as well as the finer details, and enjoys sharing those skills in a clear, down-to-earth way.
Lynne’s workshops are relaxed, with plenty of time for questions and hands-on practice. She focuses on helping you really understand your sewing machine, materials, and techniques, so you can continue working confidently at home. Whether you’re completely new to sewing or looking to refresh your skills, you’ll be guided step by step.
Above all, there’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of creating something well-made with your own hands, and Lynne’s passionate about helping others experience that.
